MEDFIELD, MA. — May 11, 2009 – Comark Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance computer and display solutions, has enhanced their line of EnduraTouch FX NEMA4X computers with the addition of Intel Atom Dual Core processing.
The 1.6GHz Intel Atom Dual Core processor is a low power, low cost alternative to the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The Atom processor can support two serial ports, one NIC port, SATA drive interface, and supports up to 2GB of RAM.
The EnduraTouch FX is available with a 15” or 17” LCD, configured with a resistive touchscreen or safety glass. The stainless steel workstation meets NEMA 4/4X requirements to withstand inclement weather, high-pressure hose-directed water and corrosion. The front access design allows for quick and easy access to the computers components, a low MTTR, and implementation flexibility. Storage options include high temperature hard drives or compact flash.
“The Atom processor is an ideal choice for applications that are memory or CPU intensive but don’t necessarily need full Core 2 Duo Processing,” commented Steve Schott, President of Comark. “The Atom processor generates less heat which simplifies cooling and improves overall value. “
Pricing for an EnduraTouch FX configured with an Atom processor begins at $2,684 with immediate availability. For more information contact Nicole Buckley at (508) 359-8161 ext. 145 or via email at nbuckley@comarkcorp.com.
