FKI Logistex® (www.fkilogistex.com), a global leader in integrated material handling solutions, announces that its Frederick, Maryland manufacturing plant has gained ISO 9001:2000 certification. Attaining ISO compliance meets the requirements of customers and contractors by assuring them of a high-quality product backed by a rigorous quality assurance process.
The Frederick certification implementation team, led by Amelia McCelvey, quality assurance manager, FKI Logistex North America, worked to achieve the ISO certification status. McCelvey and more than 150 fellow employees in the group's Frederick facility instituted a variety of measures and procedures to attain the status, including process control inspections, statistical quality control, testing, and non-conformance and final product quality evaluations. The plant's panel shop also gained UL certification during this same time period.
"FKI Logistex is committed to meeting the quality demands of our customers and contractors," says John Kelly, president, FKI Logistex Airport, Post and Parcel North America. "ISO 9001 certification ensures our Frederick plant continues to set the industry standard for quality control. We look forward to working with our customers, contractors and employees to maintain this high level of performance."
In addition to the Frederick facility, FKI Logistex manufacturing plants in Cincinnati, Ohio; Danville, Kentucky; Maysville, Kentucky; St. Louis, Missouri; and St. Peters, Missouri are also ISO 9001:2000 certified.
